Creem

Creem is a great new hardcore band from New York, NY. Reminds me a lot of Ceremony's "Rohnert Park" album. Features members from Nomos and Natural Law. There is a 7" in the making, keep an eye out.

Black Age

So I just stumbled upon this great fresh band from my favorite hardcore location in the world; Richmond, VA. Black Age play dark, raw and noisy downbeat hardcore. Gnarly as fuck. I hope they put out more shit sometime soon. FFO: Hoax, Veins, etc.

We Are the Doctors

We Are The Doctors are a punk / violence band from the Netherlands. Started in 2010 and recorded their first EP in DIY style on march 2011. Their song 'hartaanval' (heartattack) falls down your throat to kick and scream in your stomach. Fucking awesome. Keep an eye on these guys!

Unmen

I came across Unmen ages ago and it's time to post these motherfuckers now. This insanely awesome band is hailing from New Jersey, US. And all I can say is that if I hear their music I want to go on the streets and stab people randomly and break infants necks. If you want to make your parents or roommates go to a mental institution put Unmen on loudest volume and leave the room. Success guaranteed.

Res Gestae

Res Gestae is/was a brilliant band from Bogotá, Colombia. They play(ed) a murderous mix of thrashcore/powerviolence/grindcore and I would like to call them emoviolence as well.

I have no idea wether they are still around or not, but I doubt it. I'm pretty sure that this is everything they recorded, except for their first demo which I haven't been able to get a hold of.

Hoax

So 2010 was a slow and rough year for this blog. My co-poster Kitt was absent and I didn't feel like posting anything throughout the whole year. Anyway, this year will be different. I have a bunch of bands that I want to post for you and I will post AT LEAST one band per month. That's a promise. Seems like a little, but it's a lot compared to last year. Quality > quantity. Oh, and
Kitt is back too.

Hai, Kitteh. YOU ARE BACK.

Hoax is a new band from Western Massachussetts who doesn't really bring anything new to the table. Nothing original here, but it still sounds amazing. This is real dirty mid-tempo hardcore filled of angst and drugs. They consist of members from brilliant bands such as Aerosols and SQRM. They only have one release so far, which is their demo recorded by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios who previously recorded bands like Das Oath, Orchid, Aerosols, Mind Eraser, Ampere, Jeromes Dream, Wasteland and MANY many more.

Low Places

Many bands email me about posting their shit on my blog and not much actually gets posted. This band, however, is the best band I have heard in a long, long time. Low Places are a band hailing from Los Angeles, CA playing sludgy and thrashy in-the-face hardcore that will awaken the inner tomahawk mosher in you. They pretty much sound like a punkier version of Badmouth. Although the song "Sleeping In" sounds exactly like something off of Trash Talk's Self Titled LP. Don't let this scare you, though. I know it's not cool to like TT anymore. Give these guys a chance. They deserve your attention.

Thanks to Vince (Low Places), Christopher Rendon (photo) and Kitteh (Make Friends With Time). You can buy the 7" through Recession Records at the end of the year.
